20-ne200-pci-2.0.31-2.patch

This patch requires pre-patch-2.0.31-2.gz

Problem:
Current v2.0 ne2000 driver does not detect all of the PCI NE2000 clone cards that are currently available.

Reason:

Current ne.c driver only knows about RealTek cards, and only detects them at boot and not when used as a module.

Solution:

Add PCI identification numbers of other cards, and do PCI detection for module loading.

Other Details:

This driver update has been in use since Sept. 96 (or earlier) by many, and the WWW site for the update has taken about 3000 hits since Feb 97 (http://rsphy1.anu.edu.au/~gpg109/ne2000.html) No problems with it have been reported. Many people have asked to have this included in v2.0 but I initially thought that v2.0 would only be getting bug-fixes and not driver updates. (Ha!!!)

The Patch:

A copy of the patch from the above WWW site is appended below. I checked that it also applies against the current (#2) pre-31 patch on vger. This code was included in the v2.1.15 tree.
