How to Subscribe to the Mailing Lists

If you are interested in subscribing to any of the mailing lists, follow the instructions below:

  • Linux Kernel Mailing List

    To join the kernel mailing list, e-mail majordomo@vger.rutgers.edu, and put in the body of the message "subscribe linux-kernel". This is a very HIGH traffic volume list

    To unsubscribe, e-mail majordomo@vger.rutgers.edu, and put in the body of the message: "unsubscribe linux-kernel".

  • Linux ISDN Mailing List

    To join the ISDN mailing list, e-mail majordomo@vger.rutgers.edu, and put in the body of the message "subscribe linux-isdn". This is a very LOW traffic volume list

  • Linux Network Mailing List

    To join the kernel network list, e-mail majordomo@vger.rutgers.edu, and put in the body of the message "subscribe linux-net".

  • Linux Administration Mailing List

    To join the kernel admin list, e-mail majordomo@vger.rutgers.edu, and put in the body of the message "subscribe linux-admin".

  • Linux SMP Mailing List

    To join the kernel SMP list, e-mail majordomo@vger.rutgers.edu, and put in the body of the message "subscribe linux-smp".

  • LInux Sound Mailing List

    To join the kernel sound list, e-mail majordomo@vger.rutgers.edu, and put in the body of the message "subscribe linux-sound".

  • Linux PPP Mailing List

    To join the kernel PPP list, e-mail majordomo@vger.rutgers.edu, and put in the body of the message "subscribe linux-ppp".

  • Linux SCSI Mailing List

    To join the kernel SCSI list, e-mail majordomo@vger.rutgers.edu, and put in the body of the message "subscribe linux-scsi".

  • Linux Serial Mailing List

    To join the kernel Serial list, e-mail majordomo@vger.rutgers.edu, and put in the body of the message "subscribe linux-serial".

  • Linux RAID Mailing List

    To join the kernel RAID list, e-mail majordomo@vger.rutgers.edu, and put in the body of the message "subscribe linux-raid".

  • Linux Security Mailing List

    To join the Linux Security Mailing List, email linux-security-request@redhat.com, and put the keyword subscribe in the Subject: header.

  • Linux Access Mailing List

    To manually subscribe, send email to majordomo@ssv1.union.utah.edu and in the BODY (not the subject) of the email message put:

    subscribe linux-access [address]

    which will subscribe yourself (or [address] if specified) to linux-access. The address is optional. If omitted, the address from which you are sending the request will be subscribed to the list. In order to get a list of other available commands, send a message with the word 'help' in the body of the message to majordomo@ssv1.union.utah.edu.
